The Distillery District is hosting its 5th annual Christmas Market. Admission is free, but there are food, drinks and activities for all ages to purchase and enjoy. This year, the market is running from November 28th until December 21st.

Thanks to hundreds of dating sites, apps, and other forms of social media, the dating game has changed drastically.

Whether it be for better or for worst, love letters and serendipity have been replaced by screenshots and very specific matchmaking questionnaires.

Ladies & Gentlemen, Movember is upon us.

Whether you love or hate it, as of November 1st, bare faces were seen all over the city as men began their journey to perfect the best moustache in one month. Now commonly known as Movember,  it is a month-long event where men grow moustaches to raise awareness and funds for men’s health, focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health. Over the month, events happen all over Toronto to help people get involved, and to raise money. Here’s a map to let you know where to be, and when. The faded brown markers are events that have passed, but the dark brown markers show you what events you haven’t missed out on just yet.

Designer Oscar de la Renta dies at 82

Oscar de la Renta, the famous designer known for creations such as his gowns and perfumes, passed away Monday.

Born in the Dominican Republic, de la Renta began his notable career in the 1960s after gaining recognition for being a designer for Jacqueline Kennedy.

De le Renta was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, but died from complications from a surgery on Monday October 20 at his home in Connecticut.
